Compared with paid map apps
No tiers. No trial.
Paid outdoor map apps often keep features like landowner data behind higher tiers. MORI Gold has no paid tier. What exists is free, and the roadmap above says plainly what doesn't exist yet.
Questions people ask
Is it free?
Yes. There is no paid tier, no paywall and no subscription anywhere in MORIverse.
Are there ads?
No. MORIverse has no ad code.
Do you track me or sell my data?
We will never sell your data; that is our commitment. MORIverse's own code has no analytics or trackers. One thing is still being finished: the web host we use today sets its own bot-check cookies on every page, and those only go away when we move to our own server.
Does Gold World contact any outside service?
The MORI Gold web app (opened from this page and embedded in Gold World) loads Google Fonts and USGS topographic map tiles, so Google and USGS receive your IP address and the map area you view.
Where is my work saved?
In this browser on your device (local storage). It is not uploaded to us. Clearing your browser data clears it, so download anything you want to keep.
What doesn't it do yet?
MORI Gold keeps its own existing records. This world keeps its notebook and return tab. Evidence and maps do not establish a discovery, current land access or mining rights.
Is this the same as Gold World in 3D?
Yes, same world. This page is the quick overview; the walkable 3D room has all 4 tools.
Prefer to walk in?
Gold World is a real place in 3D.
2D and 3D tools keep separate saves on this device. 4 stations: Maps & field desk · Notebook & trip planning · Objects & specimens · MORI TV · Gold World.
